Our Story

Pet Friendly Camper Van Hire is a small family run business based in Scarborough, on the Yorkshire coast.

Patricia and Adrian began in 2017 after struggling to to hire a motorhome to accommodate themselves and their three beloved dogs. "Our dogs are part of our family, they are active and love the outdoors, we wouldn't dream of leaving them at home".

Daisy our 12 year old yellow Labrador was our inspiration behind the business, she loves nothing more than  a run up one one the three peaks, and then have a cosy night by a camp fire. She's getting a bit old now for the bigger hills, but still loves the Lake District and the beaches of Northumberland.

Lucy is our adorable chocolate Labrador ,an ex puppy farm girl who we adopted from the RSPCA, a chunky 13 year old who doesn't go too far now but loves to paddle in the sea and around a field.

Sally our newest addition is now 6, she was a street dog in Thailand, we adopted her and flew her home to be a Yorkshire lass. She stays on an extending lead most of our dales and lakes walks as she likes to chase the sheep and rabbits, which seem to tease her on purpose!

We purchased Belle our 4 berth motorhome and hired it for the summer, we then added Jake, our VW, and reduced the insurance age for that one to 23 years, so younger drivers could use it.  This year we have added our new 6 berth Ruby and our new conversion Bobby to our collection.

We cater for young couples wanting a weekend getaway, to large families wanting to holiday in the UK and Europe.  We pride ourselves on being Pet Friendly, meaning we will never charge for your pets to travel with us. We provide throws for our seats and want you pets to feel just at home with us as they do in their own homes.
